Full Moon Saloon & Sunset Pizzeria.
We liked it a lot, way above average. The parking's a little tight and it's in a strip mall, so it doesn't stand out - until you see the party deck. From Bluffton, it's the first plaza past Okatie Elementary.
A surprise for sure when we opened the doors. When you hear "pizzeria" you’d think tight space with a big board menu at the counter. Not so here. There's a three-sided bar area that separates the Italian side from the Wild West theme (lookup and it appears to be the upstairs of an old saloon/boarding house). Plenty of seating with TVs all around the bar and dining area.
It takes an innovator to pull off one side of the menu as Italian and the other with a Western twang. But by all accounts it works. On the Italian side, apps include the knots, garlic bread, mozzarella sticks, toasted ravioli and lightly fried calamari.
Service is strong as a whole. But during the lunch rush, we’re packed and it was worth the wait.

“All three dishes wowed us. My ziti was plentiful and delectable, with a tasty cheese blend and a dark, borderline spicy marinara (a kick, but not too much for the heartburn-weary). The Consigliere's calzone was a sight to behold (check out the pie) and was equally impressive to the taste buds. He said the dough had complexity and was very flavorful - if it's the same dough for the pizza, we're on that, too. The Big Boss is rarely effusive but he thought everything was fresh and his plate was empty. He liked the skinny fries, too. “
Full Moon Saloon
On the Western side, there are eight standard-fare apps from chimis to wings. Mix grilled or breaded chicken or shrimp into three salad choices. The saloon specialties include fish tacos, shrimp quesadillas and a chicken chipotle alfredo. Eight burger/sandwich options include The Sundance Kid, with shaved ham, sweet chili sauce, sliced pineapple and Swiss.
